We knew for a while now that Web Summit was a must. A confenrence connecting all fields 3Gloco also streaches across was a great opportunity for learning and development. Since we are not a classic start-up, our way of working, thinking and operating is more “out of the box”. That’s why we set the first challenge right from the start — we made the trip by car, not by plane. A journey that lasted almost 25 hours … the reason? There are many.
In any case, this is a great test for a part of our team. To be with someone on, say, five, six square meters (in the car) for 25 hours, with stops just for a quick 5 or 10 minutes and speeding towards the destination where the journey will begin — that’s the challenge. Another reason — we wanted to make it an adventure, a research adventure from our trip. The path to Lisbon took us through many countries in the beginning, but our goal was to focus on the activities at the Web Summit prior to the conference. We headed out on our trip three days earlier to acclimatize ourselves, “domesticate” and prepare the final details — the presentation, adjusting schedules and the like, before the beginning of the conference.
If we return to the research adventure — of course, we were looking forward to the conference, but what was waiting for us would be similarly exciting. After returning, we will have a lot of work, much new knowledge and the results of the already agreed meetings will have to be put into action. And we are sincerely looking forward to this.
For us, the first two days are behind us, but ahead is the beginning of the conference, global trends in all possible areas, from development to marketing. In the company of more than 70,000 entrepreneurs from all over the world, the largest business conference in the world, we will lay our ground that will launch 3Gloco exactly where it belongs in the coming months — among users, professionals and later also customers. Together with revolutionary innovators, we will seek solutions to meet the needs of today’s entrepreneurs. We promised that our platform will develop all the time, so it is important that we listen to entrepreneurs, and where do you find more of them than at the largest corporate conference in the world?
Another commitment has also been made with our first trip — we will share the knowledge we acquire as entrepreneurs, especially from the international environment, with other entrepreneurs. So, at this conference, we will try to capture as many moments as possible, and with the “aha moments” and ideas that delight us, we will share them with you as well. We believe that knowledge and experience should be shared if we want to drive the wheels of entrepreneurship and, consequently, the economy. How much each individual or entrepreneur takes away from it, depends on them … We believe in the maximum.
Those were just some of the highlights from our first day at the conference, but many more are to be shared with you so keep tuned for part 2 & 3. The second day was all about Slack and the third was about the UFC Champion, what did we learn and how can we apply it?
